Maine Real Estate Property Prices, Everything You Know Divide By Three, Four.
The price tags hanging of out of state real estate scare me.
After listing, marketing, selling properties in Maine for thirty two years, you get to feel at ease with a quality home for under $71,000, the median price for a Northern Maine residence.
And you can add land, some Maine waterfront to the property listing.
And voila, still low priced.
All the time.
Attractive, affordable Maine real estate happens day in and out.
No spikes to the market nose bleed section one day and then dipping to China… low low low the next.
So you have money left over the the weekly pay check for other luxuries like, oh I don’t know… say groceries, gas, heat, kid’s braces and sporting gear. We take part in lots of local events like the Meduxnekeag River Canoe Race that is May 5th this year.
The cost for car and property insurance is a fraction too. Had a lady from Attleboro MA who bought a farm house not too long ago. And the cost of her Ford Taurus car insurance was more in Massachusetts than the same Ford Taurus but her many buildings around the Maine farm and her husbands pick up added in.
Get more for less in Maine all the way around.
And the best part is with eleven people per square mile in Aroostook County, you are not going to have the traffic, noise, hub bub or friction that an over populated, crime riddled area would.
Unfortunately eight out of ten people live in an urban area. And the pace to live where there are bright lights, big city fast paced living takes something out of you.
You may make more, pull down a larger salary but that has it’s disadvantages. You turn around to spend it all to live in the city.
And Uncle Sam taps you on the shoulder every April 15th to say open up that wallet wide.
And say “Ahhhhhh Oh Oh”. Ouch. The more you make, the more you pay in. Great to see all those zero places in the final tally on how you made out for the year financially.
Hanging on to some of those dead President stacks is nice too. That’s where Maine comes in. The state sometimes forgotten about. Parked up here in the right hand corner of the country. That probably should be in Canada it’s so far north.
I am glad I live in Maine.
Am a big fan of the state that license plates announce to the world, remind everyone you are in Vacationland.
Our fun is low cost, no cost and outdoors all four seasons.
A picnic lunch and a gallon of gas or two and you are in heaven on Earth.
A fresh in the sea twenty minutes ago Maine lobster.
Or fresh picked corn. Baked potato.
Or piping hot slab of Maine native blueberry pie.
A place not spoiled and the way life should be. That’s Maine.
You’ll love the down to earth Maine people, all the natural drop dead gorgeous surroundings. But you will also enjoy the long list of what we don’t have. No long lines, traffic, rude people or too many motorists.
No billboards, bottles littering the highways. Just unspoiled outdoor four season scenery. Recreational and sporting options second to none that don’t require a Master Card, Discovery, Visa card swipe, signature.
