Homes In Maine, Admire Them All.

Homes In Maine, Admire Them All.

When you live in a big state like Maine and tour it, a real estate broker has to admire housing stock not just in his own market place.

Because it’s what we do, home sales in Maine along with apartment rental houses, farms, waterfront, land and mom and pop business property listings.

But the Maine homes, the old grand Victorian ones capture the interest of peddlers of properties, listings.

Not just Maine real estate home buyers.

On a recent trip back from dropping off the youngest son at the Portland Jetport to fly back to college, collected four lighthouses in Maine.

But along the way between those coastal jewels, items along the way had to be shot. Captured and shared with you Maine blog post readers.

Some homes in Maine have widows walks, for sea captain’s wives to scan the horizon for the husband. Who worked on the water and gone for weeks, months, longer.

Sometimes the images captured in our travels are the wildlife. With a sparse population in a rural state like Maine, more mainedeer7wildlife happens. It makes the day to day more natural, beautiful.

As long as you don’t find the Maine deer, moose, black bear becomes your new hood ornament while driving.

Warning traffic signs of high concentrations of Maine wildlife on our highways make you ease back on the pedal to the metal.

To throttle back and to take your camera’s safety off.

So you can stop, roll down a window and capture a shot or two of your four legged, furry neighbors in Maine.

Sometimes the images involve stately churches, or a creation that shows everyone’s day job has it’s risks, challenges.

But homes in Maine. The ones we list and market. The ones we just admire because it is the commodity we deal in. Much catholicchurchlike a jeweler who has his own stash of gems.

Or a boat builder that has a few of his own. That are not for sale at any price.

An antique car owner that feels the same way.

But who has a day job of pounding out dents, turning wrenches for profit to keep other people’s auto’s running in the pink.

Maine is more than Mt Katahdin, lobsters, potato and blueberry fields.

It’s loaded with neat small communities with people of hardworking character.

Plenty of local flavor, unique spark shaped by historic events.

Weathered by the local challenging economies in a four season state parked off the beaten path.

Loaded with lots of local talent of craftsmen, tradesmen long gone.

But the housing stock preserved, maintained, respected and enjoyed.

Come to Maine whenever you can. But scan the images of Maine as a reminder of what you are missing staying away. Watch local videos for Maine community events too.

To capture the spell Maine casts once she gets in your system. Becomes a healthy addiction that you can not live without, that you wonder how come it took so long to discover. Thanks for following our Own Maine Real Estate Blog posts faithful reader.
