Happy New Year From Own Maine Real Estate Blog

Happy New Year From Own Maine Real Estate Blog

New Years is a time of hope, rebirth, celebration.

Or just sheer delight a difficult twelve month span is behind you. Buying or selling real estate is an emotional experience.

For the Maine real estate agent, broker, REALTOR it is way more than just the sticks and bricks we work around.

The Maine property listings we market involve the people that buy and sell them. Their life ups and downs that come with the property listing moving package.

So extra sensitivity to the reason for the real estate listing, the property sale is key going in. Through out the process.

Settling an estate and all the family members are not on each other’s Christmas card list. Past hurts, friction, misunderstandings make communication hard for some family members. Especially when the loss is recent. Still stinging and everyone is rocking and a reeling. But not having so much fun. Not all happy if you know it clap your lands, stomp your feet. No laughing, smiling or enjoying the current state of real estate affairs that are part of the life knot, tangle.

Or if in the past year, the stage is not set with the death of a loved one but a divorce detonated.

Maybe has been dragging on with the kids caught in the cross hairs of not so friendly fire. Which can turn up the heat when bruised hearts are involved. Be way way worse, more serious to struggle with as the real estate professional roll ups his sleeves. Gets to work in the delicate real estate mending operation.

Without getting bogged down in the unhappiness of the personal life events surrounding, that come with the Maine property listing.

To guide the process of getting the Maine real estate, property listing bought or sold. To make sure the real estate sale does not get mired in the mud, peter out, to stall. To keep the process moving and from past experiences. Make the most of the situation. The cards that are dealt, laying face up on the listing kitchen table. To get to the other side of a person’s life change, upheaval, train wreck with plenty of empathy, understanding, patience applied in the process.

Sometimes the past year for the Maine real estate seller means loss of a job.

A set back from medical issues or operations. Or poor impulse control and over spending puts the owner in the poor houltonmaphouse with the “galloping gimmes”. In life, in real estate, it is never the agent, broker, REALTORS place to judge or finger point criticize.

No casting stones as we all live in glass houses that are pretty transparent. With room for improvement. Our Maine real estate job is to put on a hat.

To provide a service in marketing a property for a sale with whatever situation we are given to work around. To smooth out the wrinkles.

To sand off the rough spots and to sweep up the broken glass elements of our real estate mission with creative flair.

A little humor to ease tensions, awkward moments of uncertainty. People’s lives are not always tidy, easy, or just like yours at the moment when things are rolling along pretty evenly.

Or not carbon copies of the ones on some reality television cable network show either. Sometimes we just listen as the heart catches up with the head of the Maine real estate buyer or seller that needs our help.

Putting yourself as the Maine real estate agent, broker, REALTOR in the moccasins of the buyer or seller is key.

Thewhat’s cooking, the motivation to buy or sell has different temperature settings. The unmet needs the property listing purchase or sale will cure for now is studied. Events in a person’s life happen right on schedule. Expansion of a family means more bedrooms please. Health issues can mean no more second story bathrooms or stairs to negotiate so get me on one floor stat. Or the Maine starter house needs to be passed in, replaced for something bigger, better. New and improved.

Retirement, investment, relocation to Maine somewhere new and different. Another  cause for a real estate mainederbycookoutprofessional being tapped on the shoulder is Maine retirement, relocation.

So the call goes out to the bull pen.

Get warmed up. Loosen up the arm.

We are told “you’re up”.

Brought into the game.

At the crossroads, a critical time in the game of life  for an owner, buyer of a Maine real estate property listing is now playing.

Sometimes the cause of the Maine property listing sale is not due to the uncomfortable part of our job either.

There is not a sad, dire situation and success in employment, or making money the old fashion way, inheriting it means second home on a Maine lake.

A big chunk of Maine land is hankered. Hungered for and urge needs feeding.

Itch needs scratching. Or the time for some property listings to be sold as the owner tidies up his estate before he dies. Or needs our service by the family when he already has left this Earth. Drawn his last breath.

Buying with the heart not the head happens too. Want to, not just need to buying or selling real estate transfers happen a lot. Because Maine real estate prices are so so low and the quantity of what you get is so large. Kid in a candy store gitty feelings of excitement happen. Because you can suddenly purchase lots of property, and in the flavor that excites but where the down country buyer is might never be a possibility to own.

We love a challenge and regardless of the stimulus for a Maine real estate sale, let’s get to the task.

Pulling out the tools needed to hammer out a property sale are ready, willing and able to be put into use. Adapting to what needs to be done and just grateful to be part of the real estate list and sell process. Happy New Year 2013. Hope our paths cross and we can help each other in the purchase or sale of Maine real estate. Maine, I’m not just a real estate broker of thirty three years, but a personal fan of the place with all the space.
