5 Tips Getting Ready To Sell Your Home.

The home you want, need, think you want to sell, are you ready or not?

To come out from the ranks of rows and rows of houses, the many that are on the MLS listing platform. Like parking lot sharks circling the pools of potential buyers for homes needing whatever you are peddling.

So five tips in getting ready to sell your home starts with asking yourself one of those heart to heart questions.

Looking the guy or gal you brush your teeth in the mirror with every morning “do you really want to sell your home?”

Because just like buyers, seller’s remorse happens. Issues of the personal nature creep up in real estate sales.

And sometimes not until the property owner is right up against the closing date screaming closer and closer.

And in the final analysis, some soul searching, they chicken out. Wave the white flag and retreat back into the home.

The one where the real estate sign is pulled up. Put on its side. Propped against the back of the garage where no one can see it.

Second, in the check off list of getting ready to sell your home involves shifting gears. Mentally if you were the buyer trolling by. The scan of the outside, what they see step by step as they come in from the curb. Or cruise on right by and don’t think anything about the home for sale you need to peddle, unload to move on with your life step by step.

How wolf whistle attractive is your home for sale?

Just that yard sign added in the new and different conditions. Announcing come and get it was the extent of the prep work in the adding make up, ironing out wrinkles in the flirting to attract a real estate buyer?

Trim those shrubs, paint those shutters, mow that lawn above and beyond the degree of church in country photomaintenance you have been.

Because you are hunting, on the prowl, pursuing real estate buyers with a purpose.

To get to the finish line, at the property closing just as soon as possible.

Channel your energy toward that all important real estate goal.

Inside the buildings, weed out and make it light, bright, less is more.

Ligthening the load is good for the soul.

Something about keep it simple applies right? Too much stuff makes the floorplan and square footage shrink. Tip three is heave ho what has to go. You are going to have to anyway when you get a buyer and the moving van beep beep beep backs in.

Do it upfront, not the tail end. Because bloated property interiors hurt the price, extend the marketing time. Because home owners that do attend to the ship shape, tighly run properties stand out.

Get seriously considered and bought up, taken off the real estate market quicker.

Number four in getting ready to sell your home is where are you headed? The next step in the real estate journey. If you need bank financing, get pre-approved now so no surpises when what you hoped for does not materialize. light house in maine photo

You find a buyer that is ready, willing and able to purchase the home.

And uh oh. You find the numbers for re-entry new housing just don’t crunch right.

Something out of whack and not meshing in the real estate sell one, buy one that is not for free. And now may not be happening at all. Just kept just a wouldn’t it be nice dream. No one is going anywhere Rocket Man, Mister Tom to ground control.

Because you did not net enough to create the seed money for the next home purchase. Or should not have bought that new car and sofa set. That sucker punched your debt ratios with the high interest payments. Have to stay right where you are. Hands up and shrugging shoulders.

Sure, everyone wants to like in the movies, decide to sell, then find the home that fits their current housing needs better and just buy it.

Start unpacking and honey, have you seen the channel changer for the big game? Oh here it is, between the recliner cushions. Never mind. No big whoop dog. The end.

One move, take your time, everything working out like in the movies. In real life, bridges, gaps, patches to make the sell, move, buy jig not cause a stumble into the punch bowl. It could take a couple of inbetween the cracks moves. You in on the heading out of the house you call home now work out?

Avoid the messy details that should be worked out in a dress rehearsal with the house lights up high going in.
