Monticello Maine, a town located north of Houlton and bordered on the east by the province of New Brunswick, Canada.

Same as ten year prior. Pretty stable town.

Like most Aroostook County townships, the shape is a square six by six miles.

To the north of Monticello Maine is Bridgewater. The unorganized township of Township C Range 2, on the west. At the door, the gateway to the Northern Maine wilderness.

A handful of sporting, woods recreational camps on the Meduxnekeag River that wanders through Monticello provides all kinds, lots of four season fun options.

Harvey Siding is a popular spot for a four season recreational camp location.

Where your only neighbors are quiet, four legged, furry. One of many private spots that serve as a low cost place to jump off, explore. From on back a snow sled, riding perched on an ATV or sliding, gliding on cross country skis, hiking. Hoofing it. To head west to Baxter State Park. Maine Land, Recreational Land Buys As A Group.

Buying Maine land in a round robin fashion, collectively with a group of purchasers or grantees.

Just sold a hunting / fishing camp in Maine that was owned sinced the 1960's by a group from Pennsylvania.

The sporting group came up as many times as possible through the year. Every year.

Traditions, memories made at the simple Maine sporting camp happened. Snap shots filled up the family albums.

The Maine camp, cabin does not have to be that special.

Just placed in the middle of the Maine woods, with access to lakes, rivers and trails. For exploring with the four wheeler ATV and snow sled.

To hike nearby places like Baxter State Park. Where Mt Katahdin and other elevations wait to conquer one by one. Collecting them together. Over the years.  And revisits with their kids through out their childhood. They adopt the same habit with their children on the vacation trips to Maine.

It may all start with just buying a piece of inexpensive Maine land and building something together.

Chipping in for a kit from many local Maine cedar and pine log cabin makers. Or picking your favorite already built. Out of the field at the closest Amish settlement. To have moved to your lot, acreage in Maine. Maybe a visit to the local hardware lumber yard. Building from scratch. Possibly pulling in a fifth wheel for now as "camp" use for now.
